ASReml v4.2 Installation Complete

Platform: Mac (Intel)

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.13 High Sierra

Limits: Max Workspace = 32Gb (64-bit)

Features: Interactive Graphics with hardcopy options EPS, WMF, JPG, HPGL, HPGL2, BMP

This implementation was produced under macOS version 10.13 High Sierra (Darwin 17.3.0) and should be compatible with other similar macOS versions. It is provided in 64-bit Intel version only and is not suitable for the PowerPC architecture. Please contact support@vsni.co.uk in case of problems and for details of other versions of ASReml for Windows and Linux.

Files

The program is provided as a macOS package installer file (pkg), comprising a binary executable of the latest version of ASReml with support scripts and libraries, along with documentation and examples. Additional resources are available at the VSNi website (http://www.vsni.co.uk.

The files are distributed between 3 directories or folders, as follows:
bin/asreml.sh shell script to invoke the program
bin/asreml 64-bit application binary file
bin/myowngdg.f90 example Fortran source for OWN variance structure

Licensing

License Activation (including trials) require the user to request an activation code or token from your organisations IT support group or directly from VSNi Support.

Users of ASReml version 3 or earlier should note that a new license will be required for ASReml v4.

Introduction

Once installation has completed the application may be used directly using a command terminal window.

ASReml is a statistical package that fits linear mixed models using Residual Maximum Likelihood (REML).
